CO-CURRICULAR EVENTS
Apart from the academic activities, the students are highly encouraged to participate in various cultural events and competitions and showcase their talents in diverse fields.

The contest was held on 7th May while the prize distribution ceremony took place on 6th June. The categories were creative writing, poetry composition and recitation in both English and Bengali.

The students of the Post Graduate section participated in the first ever fest held by the University of Calcutta in May 2014. Basanti Devi College, Post Graduate Section won the first prize for drama The play titled 'Chaya Ami' was conceived, written and executed entirely by the students themselves and also the second prize for Eastern dance (duet).
